Essaouira

by

Christopher Merrill, speaking for Kelly (until I figure out how to blog from my own account): we had expected to be in Algiers now, but when our Algerian visas fell through at the last minute, for reasons that remain mysterious, we traveled to the coast of Morocco, monitoring the cloud of volcanic ash as it moves this way and that, delaying the arrival of one writer after another. But now we are by the sea–Gary Nabhan, Eddin Khoo, Nukila Amal, Dina Gudym, Josh Dick, Kelly Bedeian, and me–and in the next day we will be sending along photographs and impressions of this beautiful port. More soon.
